Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team and expand our presence in the commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical sectors. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting the estimating and operations teams in securing new projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities in HVAC, commercial and industrial mechanical, process piping, sheet metal duct, and controls.
· Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers, and facility decision-makers.
· Track and manage leads and bid opportunities using CRM tools (HubSpot or equivalent).
· Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and client meetings.
· Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless handoff from opportunity to proposal.
· Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
· Support marketing efforts, including outbound campaigns and digital presence.
· Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly business development targets.
Qualifications
· 3+ years of experience in business development or sales in the commercial/industrial HVAC or mechanical industry.
· Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, process piping systems, and BMS controls.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to read basic construction drawings and specs is a plus.
· Self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong time management skills.
· Experience using CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred).
Preferred Skills
· Established network in the tri-state area’s commercial/industrial construction sector.
· Knowledge of estimating processes and construction project lifecycles.
· Familiarity with public and private bid platforms.
Compensation & Benefits
· Base Salary: Commision Based
· Commission: Gross Profit Margin (GPM) on awarded projects directly sourced by the Business Development Representative, calculated and paid out Monthly.
· Monthly vehicle stipend.
