Chemical Operator page is loaded## Chemical Operatorlocations: Rock Hill, SCtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 2 Days Agojob requisition id: REQ02707The Chemical Operator is responsible for maintaining safety, plant production, operating efficiency and regulatory compliance **Job Responsibilities*** Follows and encourages others to follow all organizational safety rules and practices.* Fosters & maintains a positive work environment.* Performs basic tasks interacting with pumps, pipes, valves, and HMIs to prepare and charge material into the manufacturing batch process.* Ability to operate a forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials.* Performs basic lab testing.* Count and report inventory daily and assist monthly inventory counts.* Ability to follow and perform lock out tag out (LOTO) for maintenance work on equipment.* Maintain work area in a clean, organized, and safe environment.* Maintain accurate records including batch sheets, lab data entries, and shift turnover documents.* Recommends methods to improve production methods and equipment.* Ability to assist others in troubleshooting problems.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements*** High school diploma or general education degree (GED)* Basic computer literacy.*Koppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
