About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to play a pivotal role in the organization's strategic and operational success. The successful candidate will be a decisive senior leader with a proven track record in organizational management, including overseeing goal setting, and risk assessment, and ensuring the sustainability of the organization. This role requires a strong commitment to supporting a diverse staff body and a focus on multiracial organizing. The Chief of Staff will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including managing team support, co-managing the Executive Director, and leading the Executive Risk Team. They must be adept at connecting with various teams, understanding the full picture of the organization, and making informed decisions to foster a strong and healthy work environment. Applicants for the Chief of Staff position at the company should have at least 3 years' experience in organizational leadership, with a background in handling confidential grievances, HR violations, and line managing staff. The role demands excellent communication, training, and facilitation skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Familiarity with financial and compliance systems necessary for running 501c3, 501c4, and PAC organizations is essential. While not mandatory, experience with union contracts, labor-management relations, and a background in the youth climate movement are considered advantageous.
