Key Responsibilities :

• Safely operate Class A vehicles to transport food products and raw materials to and from various locations, including distribution centers, warehouses, and customer sites.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed on time, maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order and report any issues to the maintenance team.
• Accurately complete all necessary delivery paperwork, including bill of lading, delivery receipts, and logs.
• Monitor and maintain proper temperature control of food products during transport when necessary (i.e., refrigerated loads).
• Follow all company, state, and federal regulations for safety, transportation, and food handling standards.
• Ensure cargo is loaded and secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team to coordinate routes, delivery schedules, and any changes or issues.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or delays promptly.
• Assist with loading/unloading products when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the truck and equipment.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and ensure safe driving practices are followed at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Class A Driver, preferably in the food industry or similar field.
• Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and regulations.
• Ability to operate refrigerated trucks and other specialized vehicles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle physical work, including loading and unloading products.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in logistics or food safety is a plus.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit for long periods while driving.
• Occasional bending, squatting, and climbing.

Work Environment :

• Primarily on the road but may require occasional work in warehouses, distribution centers, or manufacturing facilities.
• Exposure to various weather conditions while driving.
