We are known for our precision work on large-scale components and complex assemblies, requiring skilled machinists with experience operating large CNC equipment.

If you are looking for a stable work environment that values your expertise and challenges your skills, Advex is the place for you. We currently have openings on 1st and 2nd shifts for experienced CNC Machinists capable of handling large machinery and tight tolerances.

Shift : 1st & 2nd (Will be trained on 1st shift for a few weeks)\n

Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented CNC Machinist with at least 8 years of experience in a machining environment, preferably within a job shop. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in the setup and operation of large vertical and horizontal machining centers, as well as turning centers. Candidates must be comfortable working with parts ranging in size and complexity, including large-scale components used in critical defense applications.

Key Responsibilities :

\n

\n
• Set up and operate large CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers and turning centers.
\n
• Operate manual lathes and mills for precision machining tasks.
\n
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure all quality standards are met or exceeded.
\n
• Execute job setups with precision using planned fixtures.
\n
• Conduct minor program edits on Fanuc-controlled CNC machines.
\n
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications using GD&T principles.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with programmers, supervisors, and fellow machinists to maintain productivity and part quality.
\n
• Maintain a self-directed work ethic and take initiative in meeting production and quality goals.
\n

Qualifications

\n

Experience :

\n

Minimum of 8 years in CNC machining, including time spent operating large machines in a job shop or heavy industrial setting.

\n

Technical Skills :

\n

\n
• Proficiency in setup and operation of large CNC machines .
\n
• Experience with Fanuc and/or Sinumerik controls.
\n
• Strong working knowledge of GD&T.
\n\n\n

\n

Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required.

\n

Tools :
Must have personal tools for machining tasks.

\n

Citizenship :
Must be a U.S. citizen.

\n

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for long periods.
\n
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail for handling precision work.
\n
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
\n
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
\n
