Overview Join to apply for the Coffee Shop Manager role at Georgia Baptist Mission Board . Church owned coffee shop ministry project aimed at building relationships to share the gospel, disciple people, and support missions. This will be a brand new project involving minor remodeling of an existing building on church property, equipment purchase and setup, hiring employees, and opening the ministry/business. Location context: an ideal site at a primary interstate exit, across from a public high school (1400 students) and a large Christian school (700 students). Nearby development includes 900 new apartment units, a Christian school on campus (80 students), and a local Hispanic church. Thousands of people pass by the building daily. We have consulted with a church coffee shop planning group and local authorities/health department; the property is debt-free. The project aims to become a safe community hub with strong potential to reach the community and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The manager will lead a ground-floor project with support from a consulting group. The ideal candidate will be a barista with business management skills, a passion for following Christ and the Scriptures, and a heart for ministry. The role includes involvement in setting up the project. Responsibilities Lead the setup and launch of the coffee shop ministry on church property. Hire, train, and supervise staff; manage day-to-day operations and customer service. Build relationships with customers and community to share the gospel and disciple others. Collaborate with a consulting group to guide project development and compliance. Help develop business processes to support the ministry and sustainable operation. Qualifications Experience as a barista with demonstrated business management skills. Strong commitment to Christian faith and ministry alignment with Scripture. Ability to lead a ground-floor project and work with a consulting team.
