What You'll Be Doing:
Risk Assessment: Conduct accurate risk selection and classify insureds appropriately.
Underwriting Decisions: Make critical underwriting decisions on risk acceptability, coverage alternatives, and pricing.
Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of new and renewal business, focusing on book management.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with producers, brokers, and reinsurers.
Documentation: Maintain accurate file documentation in accordance with company guidelines.
Profitability: Achieve acceptable underwriting profit levels within your assigned book of business.
What You'll Bring:
Extensive Experience: 25 years of full-time work experience.
Recent Commercial Lines Expertise: 10 most recent years of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance experience.
Property & Casualty Knowledge: Expertise in General Liability, Professional/Management Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, Cyber, Inland Marine, Surety Bond, and/or Excess & Surplus commercial lines of business.
Strong Decision-Making Skills: Ability to make critical underwriting decisions.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain accurate file documentation.
