Alliant Personnel Resources is hiring for correctional facility in Lancaster, California.

Job Details: Phlebotomist

• Location : Correctional Facility in Lancaster, California
• Pay Rate $18.52 - $20.52 Per Hour
• Schedule : 6 to 9 months Full Time Contract Eligible for extension
• Mon - Fri 06:00am - 02:30pm

Requirements: Phlebotomist

• Six (6) months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution. Clinical competencies must be current
• Valid Photo ID Driver’s License or Passport (Required)
• Valid California Phlebotomy license Hard Copy (Required)

Duties/Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to: Phlebotomist

• Perform venipuncture and finger sticks using standard equipment to include vacutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, blood culture, syringes and butterfly needles;
• Communicate to patient/youth on the procedure to be done;
• Centrifuge, label and store blood samples for analysis by CCHCS Clinical Laboratory staff and/or external laboratory service providers;
• Maintain inventory of supplies, stock supplies and hand trays;
• Follow Institution written standard procedures, or follow standard phlebotomy practices for positive patient/youth identification;
• Obtain blood specimens from patient/youth under a variety of conditions;
• Perform test order recording into electronic system per procedure;Handle and properly label bio hazardous specimens;
• Process non-blood clinical specimens accordingly for testing or send outs; Maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment;
