Data Center Operations Technician I at Flexential The Data Center Operations Technician I is a 24x7x365, market-based position responsible for providing physical and Level II technical support to Flexential customers and resources. A solid understanding of facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting and management applications. Data Center Operations Technician I must be able to represent Flexential both professionally and technically during interactions with customers and internal resources in a calm and professional manner. Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Provide timely resolution and/or escalation of Facility and customer issues. Maintain a professional attitude and conduct while performing data center duties. Troubleshoot and document technical issues using the Flexential ticketing system. Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies, processes, and procedures. Provide local access and escort for vendors and carriers. Perform remote hands work for internal and external customers. Support 24/7 operations with the ability to work any shift in a 24x7x365 environment. Assist and/or complete physical and logical installations of Flexential services. Maintain cleanliness of the Data Center and surrounding supporting areas. Perform Facilities Rounds and escalate pertinent information. Process all inbound and outbound shipping/receiving for Customer and Flexential Deliveries. Operate and manage Badge Access Security System. Assist Data Center Manager (DCM) on an as-needed basis. Work with local management to maintain cabling and general usage item inventory levels. Perform other duties as required and assigned. Required Qualifications Passion for providing a great customer experience Understanding of Windows and Microsoft operating systems Must be a self-starter and motivated Excellent verbal and written communications skills Strong attention to detail, making and keeping commitments and meeting deadlines Prefer 1 year of experience working within an IT Support environment AA, BS, or High School Diploma Network +, Security + and / or CCNA desired Microsoft MCP or MCSA preferred Physical Requirements Ability to climb ladders and work aloft Ability to work in cold temperature environments Ability to maneuver pallet jacks and lift heavy objects Ability to pull and install cabling Base Pay Range: The hourly compensation offered for this position is $21.00 .
