Job Description

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for writing and distributing assigned technical content, including blogs, press releases, and social media posts, across multiple platforms for multiple companies within the Exponential Technology Group. This role focuses on executing social media strategies, managing consistent social media activity, and ensuring content is tailored to each companys needs.

This role will work closely with business unit stakeholders, engineers, and cross-functional teams to coordinate technical and social media content, maintain brand consistency, and ensure timely execution of marketing initiatives. They will be responsible for developing and writing assigned technical content, posting content, and implementing collaborative social media strategies to enhance visibility and engagement across various platforms.

This position may be remote, located within the US.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Write and edit assigned technical content, including blogs, press releases, and social media posts.

Manage and execute daily social media activity for multiple companies, ensuring consistent posting schedules and engagement.

Work with business unit stakeholders, engineers, and the marketing team to tailor messaging for each companys specific audience and goals.

Coordinate and maintain social media content calendars, ensuring timely distribution of assigned content.

Publish content on relevant social media platforms, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand guidelines.

Monitor and engage with industry trends, organizations, and business partners to share content on social media.

Ensure assigned content follows SEO best practices for increased visibility and engagement.

Track and analyze social media performance metrics, providing reports and insights to stakeholders.

Collaborate with internal teams to execute coordinated digital marketing activity as assigned.

Assist with other marketing execution tasks, such as proofreading or supporting marketing initiatives, as needed.

Additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field. Two - four years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, and/or technical writing. Prior experience in B2B marketing or working with engineering/technical content is preferred. Experience managing multiple social media accounts simultaneously.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and business unit stakeholders to align content with company goals.
  • Proficiency in social media platform management, primarily LinkedIn.
  • Experience using social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to convert assigned content into clear, engaging posts (writing samples may be requested).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure brand consistency across multiple platforms.
  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking and coordination skills, with experience maintaining content calendars.
  • Experience with Google Analytics or social media performance tracking tools is a plus.

Total Annual Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000/year. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
