Job Title: Director of Rehabilitation
Qualifications:
Licensed as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist in California.
Valid CPR certification.
Job Summary:
The Director of Rehabilitation directs and coordinates policies, objectives, initiatives, and programs for rehabilitation therapy services. Oversees staff performance, business planning, and budgeting. Ensures compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Leads and manages staff, fostering a high-performance, quality-focused environment.

Communicate with physicians and healthcare professionals regarding patient treatment plans.
Perform initial patient evaluations and monitor responses to treatment.
Follow regulatory statutes and rules for rehabilitation services.
Educate patients, families, and staff appropriately.
Develop and manage the rehabilitation department, including workstation assessments.
Provide in-service training to staff and new employees.
Maintain accurate progress notes and treatment plans.
Supervise and mentor therapy staff.
Coordinate with physicians and external/internal stakeholders.
Apply professional judgment to resolve complex issues.
Meet and exceed patient needs and expectations.
Promote respectful, honest, and open communication.
Foster an environment of innovation and empowerment.
Manage the department in accordance with state law and strategic plans.
Participate in recruitment, facility meetings, and discharge planning.
Provide weekend coverage and other duties as assigned.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety rules, and procedures.
