Job Description
looking for a dependable, safety-conscious CDL Class B Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for the safe operation of a [type of vehicle, e.g., Straight Truck / Dump Truck / Box Truck] to deliver [goods/materials] to our local customers.
This is a local position-you will be home every night!
Key Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely drive and maneuver vehicles in various weather and traffic conditions.
- Inspections: Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure equipment is in top shape.
- Loading/Unloading: [Choose one: Assist with loading/unloading cargo OR Oversee the securement of loads].
- Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and delivery paperwork.
- Customer Service: Act as a professional representative of our company when interacting with clients.
Requirements & Qualifications
- License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Experience: Minimum of [1 year] of professional driving experience preferred.
- Medical: Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean Record: No more than [2] moving violations in the last 3 years; no DUIs in the last 5 years.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to [50 lbs] and sit for extended periods.
- Endorsements: [Air Brakes / Tanker / HazMat] endorsements are a plus.

Responsibilities
To land a solid Class B position, you generally need the following:
- License: A valid Commercial Driver's License (Class B).
- Medical Examiner's Certificate: A valid DOT medical card.
- Clean Driving Record: Most employers look for fewer than 2 minor violations in the last 3 years and zero DUIs or major accidents.
- Endorsements (High Value): Adding these to your license can significantly increase your pay:
- Tanker (N): For hauling liquids (cement mixers, fuel).
- Air Brakes: Almost essential for most Class B vehicles.
- HazMat (H): For hauling chemicals or fuel.
The essential functions of this role include:
- working in a smoke free environment

- working up to 2 hrs of overtime per week
