Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We’re currently seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our amazing team.

Details of the Emergency Medicine NP/PA opening:

• Start date: As soon as Credentialed
• 1099 position (must have your own liability and TAIL insurance)
• Pay rate: $95+/hr
• Full Time Shifts: Night Availability is a must

Daily Range of Responsibilities of the Emergency Medicine NP/PA:

• Provide healthcare services to patients by following established standards, procedures and practices within Emergency Medicine.
• Obtain detailed history and perform physical or psychological examinations.
• Perform or order X-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures, and interprets results.
• Administer such therapeutic procedures as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care.
• Provide physicians with assistance during surgery or medical procedures.
• Instruct patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, home care and health maintenance.
• Evaluate outcomes of direct patient care and consult with other specialists as required.
• Maintain required records and write progress notes on patient charts as to status, treatments and procedures.
• Provide preventative health care services to long-term patients and arrange consultations and referrals.

Qualifications for the Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Active NP license
• MUST have two years of Emergency Medicine experience
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• ATLS is mandatory (must have in order to be hired)

Qualifications for the Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant:

• Bachelor's degree in Health Science
• Active certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) as a "Physician Assistant-Certified" (PA-C)
• MUST have two years of Emergency Medicine experience
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• ATLS is mandatory (must have in order to be hired)
