Job Description Job Description Position Overview: Palo Alto County Health System (PACHS) is seeking a dedicated PRN Ambulance Driver to assist EMTs with providing out-of-hospital care appropriate to the age of each patient per protocols established by the medical director. This role involves driving the ambulance safely, assisting with emergency and non-emergency calls, and ensuring a high level of patient safety and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Drive the ambulance safely and prudently. Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls. Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills. Investigate and resolve customer concerns. Participate in quality improvement processes. Complete patient and service documentation timely. Restock, clean, and disinfect equipment. Stay in designated area when on call. Facilitate collaborative relationships between departments. Attend mandatory department meetings. Follow patient care and hospital policies. Maintain confidentiality regarding patients, employees, and hospital information. Requirements: High School graduate or GED (unless currently a high school student). Healthcare provider CPR certification. Valid Iowa Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record. Good oral and written communication skills.
