Job Overview:

As an Entry-Level Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in our Patient Service Center (PSC) by performing essential phlebotomy activities, ensuring both accuracy and timeliness. You will interact professionally and courteously with clients, patients, and team members, confidently executing clinical and forensic specimen collection according to established protocols.

Your Responsibilities will include:

• Greeting customers warmly and treating them with courtesy.
• Collecting specimens accurately and punctually, adhering to established procedures.
• Explaining the venipuncture process and reducing patient anxiety in a calm environment.
• Properly disposing of biohazardous materials and contaminated sharps in compliance with regulations.
• Accurately completing requisitions and entering patient, specimen, and billing information in the system.
• Researching test information using our lab computer system.
• Matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and preparing samples for transport with precise labeling.
• Maintaining meticulous records and documentation.
• Assisting with clerical tasks, such as filing and electronic data entry.
• Ensuring compliance with the company’s dress code and grooming standards.
• Demonstrating a commitment to organizational values and contributing to a positive work environment.
• Utilizing proper PPE and adhering to safety standards at all times.
• Upholding the confidentiality and security of protected health information in alignment with industry regulations.
