Christ College at Concordia University Irvine seeks candidates for one or more faculty positions in theology. Our faculty teach undergraduate theology courses in Concordia's Enduring Questions and Ideas Curriculum as well as upper division and/or graduate courses in theology. Our faculty also engage in theological scholarship, provide service to the university and church, and represent the Lutheran theological tradition within the university community. They participate fully in the life of the university, including chapel, university committees, and informal collegial conversations. We have particular needs in New Testament and systematic theology. The ability and willingness to carry out part-time administrative roles is also desired. Qualifications: Preference will be given to ordained and commissioned ministers in the LCMS; only members of LCMS congregations will be considered. This position requires Synodical prior approval per bylaw 3.10.6.9.2 (2023 LCMS Handbook). Appointment: This position is a full-time position on the university's Turtle Rock Campus in Irvine, CA. Occasional online and/or summer teaching may be required.
