We’re seeking a dependable and hardworking part-time Houseman with "handyman" experience to join our team!

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the property is well-maintained, safe, and fully operational. You’ll perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms, assist with general upkeep of the hotel, and support the Houseman duties as needed.

This position reports directly to the Chief Engineer and General Manager , and requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

$16 - $17 hourly

• Inspect the building for any structural damage to windows, doors, walls, and perform necessary repairs
• Ensure all equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring are in working order by conducting routine maintenance and handle any repairs, if needed
• Take additional maintenance requests as assigned
• Plan and implement preventative maintenance procedures to maximize equipment operations and minimize safety risks
• Make records of when any equipment was services and repairs were made

• Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) on hotel guest rooms and equipment
• Document all maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly
• Inspect the property regularly for safety hazards or maintenance needs
• Complete minor repairs and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues
• Support Houseman duties, including cleaning and restocking public areas
• Help maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the hotel

• Stellar communication skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
• Needs to have availability to respond on nights and weekends to on-call maintenance requests
• Should be able to demonstrate understanding of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience
• Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques

• Previous maintenance experience required (hotel or facilities preferred)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is a plus
• Reliable, self-motivated, and organized
