Position Summary Ascensus is the leading independent technology and service platform powering savings plans across America, providing products and expertise that help nearly 16 million people save for a better today and tomorrow. The Investment Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining and delivering an oversight program specific to assigned line of business(es) as it relates to (i) interpretation and distribution of investment data; (ii) reporting to the Investment Committee (the “Committee”); and (iii) providing analytic support to the Committee. The analyst will participate as a non‑voting contributor to the Committee and will take a leadership role in preparation of the Committee agenda, creation of analytical content, and assurance that action items are addressed and completed in a timely fashion. The role also monitors performance and completeness of investment managers in offerings in support of the investment committee. Responsibilities Perform monthly fund performance grid creation and quarterly scorecard analysis. Coordinate and drive due diligence reviews on investment managers in the various offerings. Understand fund attribution, strategy changes and any management changes for offerings. Perform benchmark analysis and style analysis on plans to ensure optimal diversification in portfolios. Monitor industry fee levels, including fee levels on underlying funds, and understand eligibility for breakpoint pricing. Ensure compliance with all Investment Policy Statement requirements. Ensure that investment manager is providing appropriate rationale for fund inclusion and any potential changes. Take an active role in departmental projects, including process improvements, designing policies and procedures, and implementing new analysis capabilities. Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned. Protect, secure, and properly handle all confidential data held by Ascensus to prevent unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or its clients. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees including MSF or MBA a plus; progress toward a professional designation (CFA/CIMA/CFP) a plus. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in an analytical role in retail or institutional investment management. Investment Advisor Representative (Series 65/66) or expectation of completion within six months of hire. Experience with analysis and support of at least 38 offerings preferred. Ability to work independently, meet shifting deadlines, and thrive with minimal supervision. Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Solid understanding of portfolio performance analysis, calculations, and the ability to articulate investment information. Strong work ethic within a flexible working environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Results oriented with the ability to move fast to meet client needs. Remote Work Requirements For all virtual remote positions, an uninterrupted virtual workspace and family care arrangements during business hours are required. An internet speed of 25 Mbps or better (or higher if the same connection is used by multiple people) is mandatory. For call‑center roles, equipment must be hard‑wired to the router or situated in close proximity to the router. Salary & Benefits National average salary range: $60,000–$100,000 base pay (exclusive of bonuses and benefits). Salary may vary based on location, experience, performance, and internal alignment.
