Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide advanced dermatological care in both primary and specialty settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing physical exams, diagnosing and treating skin conditions, developing care plans, and administering diagnostic tests. This role also includes performing cosmetic procedures and assisting in dermatologic surgeries.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Take comprehensive medical histories and perform physical exams, including skin cancer screenings.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of skin conditions such as acne, eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including biopsies and imaging.
• Perform dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, wide excisions, cryotherapy, and minor surgeries.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses.
• Educate patients on preventive care and skin health.
• Perform minimally and non-invasive cosmetic procedures including Botox injections, laser skin resurfacing, and chemical peels.
• Assist in surgical procedures such as Mohs surgery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active NP license in the state of New York.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Dermatology.
• Current New York Controlled Substance and DEA registration.
• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Acute Care.
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred; DOT certification a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal communication skills.
