WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN Outpatient Ambulatory Care for a local contract nursing job in New Rochelle, New York.

Job Description & Requirements

WCS Healthcare is working with the largest federally qualified health care clinics on the East Coast who have an immediate opening for full time RNs to work in NY location. The clinic specializes in Primary Care. This is a great opportunity with one of the strongest employers in the region whose mission is to provide quality care to underserved populations. 

Job Function:

\n

• Day Shift.
\n
• 9am - 5pm.
\n
• Interviews patients for health history, including history of current complaint, and past and present use of medication utilizing patient identifies; document patient charts (must be time stamped and/or initialed).
\n
• Maintains patient medical record and charts the following: nursing observation; vital signs; reactions to test, i.e., PPD results, in-house testing, and other pertinent information.
\n
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatments and examinations of patients.
\n
• Initiates follow-up, as necessary. Instruct patients on healthcare issues, as indicated by physician, diagnosis and/or inquiries by patient.
\n
• Assesses and triages patients as they present, either by telephone or in person.
\n

Job Requirements:  

\n

• Bachelor's degree.
\n
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in an FQHC or fast paced outpatient/community health setting.   
\n
• Registered Nurse – NYS, CPR Certification, Infection Control Certification required.
\n
