Qualifications:

• Requires a minimum of five years of mechanical inspection experience.
• Two-year technical degree or Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) preferred.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics, blueprint reading, geometric tolerances, and SPC.
  

Position Duties

• Inspects complex manufactured parts for conformance to print and specification requirements. 
• Performs visual, dimensional, mechanical, and optical inspections per instructions. 
• Uses basic to complex inspection measurement equipment including CMM, microscopes, optical comparators, and coordinate measurement equipment to set up and verify dimensions and geometric tolerances for compliance. 
• Works from engineering drawings, internal and external specifications, quality assurance standards, test procedures, and verbal instructions to determine acceptance of product. 
• Participates in continuous improvement teams. 
• Assist in supporting customer onsite audits. 
• Maintain the highest ethical and quality standards, even when challenged from above.
• Uses computers to document quality records, first article and dimensional reports, and job status, including the scanning and filing of records." for subject-verb agreement.. 
• May assist with lean initiatives and participate where required.
• Understand and live by Company’s ethics and business conduct policies
