MIG Welder

As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for completing welding of prefabricated assemblies, setting up welding machines unassisted for various processes or material thicknesses, and operating a variety of fabrication equipment. You will fabricate and weld complex assemblies from blueprints and must have the ability to read and interpret these blueprints accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Complete welding of prefabricated assemblies.
• Setup welding machines unassisted for any process or material thickness.
• Operate a variety of fabrication equipment such as plate rollers, saws, pipe rollers, and drill presses.
• Fabricate and weld complex assemblies from a blueprint.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

Essential Skills:

• 4+ years of welding experience.
• Proficiency in MIG welding.
• Knowledge of GMAW and FCAW processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with stainless steel, fabrication, and flux core welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to operate other fabrication equipment such as plate roller, saw, pipe roller, and drill press.
• Capability to fabricate complex assemblies unassisted.

Work Environment:

Work in a fabrication shop that is non-climate controlled, which can become hot. The shop is equipped with a great weld cell layout and newer equipment.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
