A Bloomfield Hills, Michigan family of seven is seeking a full-time Nanny to help take care of their three children ranging in ages from 14 to 8, along with period care of their fourth child who is 2 years old. They also have a 1 year old goldendoodle so candidates must be an animal lover :) The two-year-old will have an Au Pair but this position will need to be flexible with caring for the toddler on an as-needed basis. They are seeking an organized, trustworthy, and flexible nanny who is responsible for coordinating the busy schedules of the children. Organization, good communication, and a willingness to go above and beyond is required! The schedule will be planned in advance alongside our other nanny, which will allow for flexibility with shift or last minute emergencies. Required to be comfortable working and communicating with the various staff members of the home including a chef, driver, housekeeper, and an additional nanny. Responsibilities and Qualifications: Candidate must be willing to work closely with the nanny, housekeeper, and house manager to effectively cover the needs of the family. Position will report to the House Manager who works out of the home and will own and manage the calendar for the children and the family. Drive kids to and from school Monday/Friday as well as after school activities including sports, school events, playdates, and birthday parties. Family has a driver but that is primarily reserved for the parents as needed. Help coordinate kids parties at the home, playdates, and provide homework help. Must be willing to travel with the family but will split the trips with another nannies. Must be willing to be travel for a maximum of nine days for a vacation. Must be willing to be flexible with the ever-changing schedule of the family. Looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, but who can also remain calm and organized in moments of chaos. Family has a Chef, but meal prep and meal planning throughout the day and week at the house and grocery shopping as needed. The family appreciates initiative - they hope this position will help with folding laundry, tidying up where needed, and going the extra mile to help maintain a good pace of life at home. Help the kids after school. Cross-checking calendars and communicating with House Manager on a regular/weekly basis is required. Must be an effective communicator, extremely organized, and willing to wear any hat necessary. Experience working in a fast-paced ever-changing environment will help be successful in this role.
