In collaboration with our clinical team at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), the Radiology Team at Beth Israel Deaconess-Plymouth is at the forefront of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic radiologic procedures. As a Physician Assistant on the Interventional Radiology team, you'll play a central role in both Interventional Radiology and Musculoskeletal Radiology, supporting our physicians and patients through a wide range of procedures. This is a full-time role. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conduct patient histories, physical exams, develop treatment plans, order and interpret labs and imaging studies. Perform image-guided procedures including joint injections, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, aspirations, and vascular access. Act as a clinical educator and resource for staff; provide formal and informal teaching and contribute to scholarly activities. Collaborate across teams to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. Coordinate care plans with clinical teams and consulting services. Foster interdisciplinary collaboration to assess and meet the health needs of patients and their families. Manage direct care for patients receiving opioid therapy. Prior experience in a teaching hospital or relevant specialty strongly preferred. Proficiency in EMR systems, Microsoft Office applications, and web-based tools. Registration/Certification: Current Massachusetts PA License, ARC-PA and NCCPA Certification, Fluoroscopy Certification for Physician Assistants via the ARRT, American Heart Association- Basic Life Support certification, American Heart Association- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH – DCP and Federal DEA.
