Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate Pit Team Member to join our staff part-time. The ideal candidate will be coachable and eager to learn, have some background in smoking and grilling meats, a keen eye for detail, and a love for learning. This role involves preparing, cooking, and presenting various meats, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and taste.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of meats using traditional smoking and grilling techniques.
- Maintain the smoker and grilling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure meat is cooked to perfection.
- Assist in menu planning and the development of new recipes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all food safety guidelines.
-Some early mornings and late nights are required.
Qualifications:
-Food Handler or Food Manager Certification or willing to obtain one.
- Willing to learn smoking and grilling techniques and be coachable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, early morning or late nights.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to lift heavy items and endure long periods of standing.
