Job Summary: The Quality Control Technician - Level 3 plays a critical role in ensuring product compliance with internal and external quality standards within a high-volume lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment. This position supports day-to-day quality operations through advanced data analysis, hands-on inspections, and timely issue resolution. Working with minimal supervision, the technician collaborates closely with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to address defects and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities also include maintaining detailed quality records, supporting audits, and contributing to compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Essential Duties: Quality Inspection & Data Analysis: \n - Perform advanced data interpretation and analytics related to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
\n - Operate independently to analyze data and make quality-related decisions on the production floor and in laboratories
\n - Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections, quality issues, and deviations
\n - Assist with product audits as directed by the Quality Supervisor
\n

Defect Containment & Reporting: \n - Support timely containment and treatment actions for nonconforming materials
\n - Report quality concerns or deviations from standards promptly to Supervisors and Engineers
\n - Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed
\n
\n
Cross-Functional Collaboration: \n - Work with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to identify and resolve defects, bugs, and other quality concerns
\n - Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process standardization efforts
\n
\n
Training & Compliance: \n - Support the implementation of processes and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
\n - Train team members at the same or lower levels within the functional area
\n

Operational Support: \n - Operate and maintain tools and equipment within functional area
\n - Ensure cleanliness of work area and maintain 6S standards
\n - Ability to work all scheduled shift hours
\n
\n
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: - To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for our employees' protection, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Essential Qualifications: \n - 3+ years of related work experience in quality inspection, quality control, or a related manufacturing role
\n - Basic understanding of quality systems and processes
\n - Proficient in documenting test results, inspection findings, and deviations accurately and thoroughly
\n - Demonstrated ability to interpret technical documents such as SOPs, quality standards, and engineering specifications
\n - Familiarity with root cause analysis and nonconformance management
\n - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills related to quality data and trends
\n - Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork
\n - Competent in using standard quality tools, gauges, and measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications: \n - 4+ years of experience in a quality role within a high-volume manufacturing environment (automotive or battery industry preferred)
\n - Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949
\n - Working knowledge of regulatory and customer compliance standards (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS)
\n - Prior involvement in corrective action planning and containment implementation
\n - Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
\n - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools
\n - Alignment to Panasonic's seven (7) core principles (contribution to society, fairness and honesty, cooperation and team spirit, untiring effort for improvement, courtesy and humility, adaptability, gratitude)

Preferred Certification(s): \n - Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
\n - Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt or higher)
