Overview Join VMD Corp, part of Xcelerate Solutions, a leader in providing passenger and checked baggage screening services at various airports across the United States. This is a full-time Security Guard Supervisor position activated for candidates with an active Security Guard Card. What you will do Grow in a fulfilling career as a Security Guard Supervisor working alongside a team of aviation security professionals. Use outstanding customer service and critical‑thinking skills to identify and prevent unsafe objects from exiting the airport. Responsibilities Scheduling and rotating of other guards Ensure breaks and lunches are completed in a timely manner Conduct shift briefings as needed Conduct thorough and efficient screening of airport employees entering restricted areas Verify the identity and credentials of employees using established procedures Operate screening equipment, such as metal detectors, to detect prohibited items Enforce security regulations and policies in a professional and courteous manner Monitor employee behavior and report any suspicious activities or violations Collaborate with airport authorities and law enforcement to address security concerns or incidents Provide clear and concise instructions to employees regarding the screening process Conduct property searches as part of the overall security strategy Respond promptly to alarms or alerts generated by screening equipment Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents Qualifications Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National Have an active Security Guard Card Hold a valid driver's license issued by the State of Missouri Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays (flexibility is key) Ability to pass SIDA Badge background check Ability to interact professionally with the public with a focus on customer service Proven experience in security, screening, or a related field is preferred Excellent observational and problem-solving skills The ability to communicate and interact with diverse individuals Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle high-stress situations calmly Attention to detail and commitment to following established security protocols What we offer Competitive Compensation Paid training No prior experience is necessary Receive on-the-job training Benefits for you and your family 401K Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits Paid Time Off Flexible Spending Accounts Life Insurance Employer Paid Long/Short Term Disability Tuition & Training Reimbursement Program Travel and telecommuting Telecommute Option: No Relocation: Relocation is not provided Travel: None Working with VMD At VMD, now a part of Xcelerate Solutions, you have the opportunity to thrive in your career and become a Game Changer.
