The Special Events Coordinator helps coordinate Special Events for Casino Marketing, Casino Promotions, and Passport Rewards Center Activities. Coordinates with other departments that directly interact with the Special Events and Marketing Departments.

Duties:

  • Provide assistance to guests seeking information about special events.
  • Track and analyze guest attendance and play for event evaluation.
  • Prepare and distribute guest lists 2–3 days prior to events.
  • Supervise VIP players and staff transportation off-property for citywide events and concerts.
  • Coordinate all aspects of special event operations while managing time and budget requirements.
  • Analyze participant data provided by Casino Marketing for event planning.
  • Supervise event staff and oversee operations at designated events.
  • Write, design, and proofread all event collateral and promotional materials.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) for reporting and communication.
  • Operate casino proprietary software systems such as Amadeus, MGT, EVERI, and AS400.
  • Manage assigned special projects as delegated by the Director of Special Events.
  • Oversee Will Call operations for all in-house ticketed events.
  • Meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to maintain a valid license with the Gaming Control Board.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
  • Prior casino experience preferred.
  • Experience in special events, promotions, or hospitality is beneficial.
  • Computer experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and casino software platforms.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Personable and effective communicator with guests and staff.
  • Highly organized, motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
