Reports to: Director of Athletics
Classification: Exempt | Full Time | 12-Month
Position Summary: This role exists to support and implement the Mission of Magnificat High School. The Strength and Conditioning Coach designs and implements effective, developmentally appropriate training programs that promote strength, injury prevention, physical literacy, and self-confidence in Magnificat student-athletes. This position plays a central role in the athletic department, collaborating with coaches, trainers, and administrators to support the holistic growth and performance of all athletes, while contributing to a positive and inclusive athletic culture.

Major Responsibilities:

· Attend pre-season planning meetings with sport coaches.
· Supervise “Open Lift” sessions during school hours for PE students or individual athlete support.
· Contribute to ongoing professional development and program improvement efforts.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements:Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in sports science, kinesiology or related field strongly preferred.
Work Experience:
· Experience in leading strength and conditioning programs for high school or youth athletes required.
Certifications:
· National certification in strength and conditioning or personal training (NSCA-CSCS, NASM, ISSA, ACE, USAW, or equivalent).
· CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Skills and Competencies :
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Commitment to empowering young women through physical education and sport.
· Understanding of adolescent development and safe, effective training principles.
