At Fiserv, a successful Tax Manager Unclaimed Property ensures seamless compliance with unclaimed property laws and regulations, driving efficiency and accuracy in reporting, while showcasing our commitment to operational excellence. They play a crucial role in maintaining internal controls and guiding business units to uphold best practices within the unclaimed property landscape. What you will do:

  • Assist with internal and external audits ensuring compliance with unclaimed property laws.
  • Implement internal policies to ensure adherence to best practices in unclaimed property management.
  • Provide training and guidance to associates regarding unclaimed property laws and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and manage due diligence letters and responses for dormant properties.
  • Maintain and update the unclaimed property database with client information.
  • Handle inquiries related to unclaimed property, processing claims from individuals or entities.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of unclaimed property reports to reporting jurisdictions, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of unclaimed property, including tracking, reporting, and reconciling accounts.
  • Recover assets for Fiserv and maintain accurate asset recovery records, documenting processes, communication, and outcomes, and preparing reports for management.

What you will need to have:

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance with unclaimed property laws and regulations.
  • Experience in managing and preparing unclaimed property reports.
  • Experience in conducting and assisting with audits related to unclaimed property.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and/or equivalent military experience.

What would be great to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in managing and updating unclaimed property databases.
  • 8 years of experience in providing training and guidance on unclaimed property compliance.
  • Proven experience in asset recovery processes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or relevant certification preferred.

Important information about this role:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.

Salary Range $108,900.00 - $186,800.00 These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York, and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
