Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the medical device manufacturing industry, is seeking a Test Technician 1, Instruments to join their team. As a Test Technician 1, Instruments, you will be part of the Manufacturing Support team supporting production and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Test Technician 1, Instruments

Location: Sparks Glencoe, MD

Pay Range: $23

Shift:  M-F 7:30am -3:30pm 

What's the Job?

• Perform production assembly operations and complete system analysis, testing, and performance optimization of instruments.
• Conduct basic electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting to identify issues in test equipment.
• Analyze test results and data to determine pass/fail status and provide solutions for failures.
• Identify defects and recommend design and process improvements to enhance product quality.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through active participation in CI projects and team activities.

What's Needed?

• AA degree in mechatronics or a relevant field with 0 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience in electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in reading drawings, interpreting measurements, and understanding work instructions.
• Basic skills in mechanical tools such as torque drivers, gauges, and bits.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
