• Location: Hagerstown, MD 21742 (Maryland nursing jobs)\n
• Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry, IMC, Cardiac Stepdown (Float Pool)\n
• Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract\n
• Start Date: December 1, 2025\n
• End Date: March 2, 2026\n
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Weekend Coverage: 12 weekend shifts per contract\n
• Orientation: 16 hours\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020 per week\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Maryland or compact state)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience in a hospital setting\n
• Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown RN experience required\n
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications (AHA)\n
• NIHSS certification preferred\n
• Proficiency with Epic EMR charting system\n
• Prior travel nursing experience required\n
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations required (no exemptions)\n
• 2-step PPD required\n
• Comfortable with 1:4–1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios\n
• Charge nurse experience preferred\n

\n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Float between Med/Surg, Telemetry, and IMC units as needed\n
• Deliver care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions (e.g., acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, CHF, MI, unstable angina, trauma)\n
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac and insulin drips, and respond to rapid response/code situations\n
• Perform advanced nursing procedures: central line and PICC management, ventilator and tracheostomy care, blood transfusions, post-cardiac catheterization care\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services)\n
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR\n
• Maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety\n
• Participate in orientation modules and ongoing clinical training\n
