Job Description

Our client is seeking a VP/ General Manager of Sales and Services of a firm that does a lot of application engineering as well as customer interface to take on a pivotal role as the representative for a leading organization. This high-level position is crucial to the business, as you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales, marketing, tradeshows, service, and applications for a portfolio of sophisticated pharmaceutical equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Set the overall strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with global goals, while providing leadership for day-to-day operations.
• Oversee key operational areas, including sales, service, engineering, process automation, and project management.
• Manage profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities to meet financial objectives and ensure profitability.
• Build and lead a high-performing team, promoting a culture centered on innovation and customer satisfaction.
• Cultivate strong relationships with critical stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, and industry networks.
• Collaborate with senior management to improve global performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead ongoing business development initiatives, focusing on growth opportunities and new strategies.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through the efforts of both personal and team-based activities.
• Keep up-to-date with trends and advancements in equipment, services, and technologies relevant to the industry.
• Provide market insights to support product development and management decisions.
• Contribute to the company’s growth by exploring new markets, generating leads, and identifying opportunities for sales and partnerships.
• Build a strong, self-sufficient service team for both local and global services.
• Ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory compliance across all business functions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Mechanical, Automation, or Process Technology) is required. An MBA (Management or Marketing) is preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in managerial roles, ideally within the pharmaceutical or related process engineering industries
• Experience with small- mid size organizations
