About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Conservation Programs to lead and integrate its land conservation, stewardship, and wildlands ecology initiatives. The successful candidate will be a visionary and collaborative conservation leader with a deep commitment to the values of wilderness. This role involves guiding a talented team to achieve ambitious goals for protecting and restoring wilderness, serving as a key member of the Executive Team, and ensuring the organization's strategic vision is implemented. The VP will also be responsible for program leadership and management, fostering strong communication and collaboration, and maintaining external relationships as a champion for wilderness protection. Applicants for the VP of Conservation Programs position at the company should have at least seven years of experience in managing multiple teams within a land trust or similar conservation organization. The role requires a candidate with exceptional organizational and time management skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and a commitment to candid and transparent communications. The ideal candidate will have a passionate commitment to wild nature, a deep understanding of wilderness values, and excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of staff and partners.
