Your Key Responsibilities - Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering pertinent tests, and developing customized care strategies
- Diagnosing and treating patients with acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, whether working in tandem with physicians or independently (as permitted by credentials)
- Instructing patients and their families on preventive health, wellness strategies, and management of diseases
- Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic care
- Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated, comprehensive care
- Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certifications Required - Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or able to secure them within 90 days)
Preferred Skills - Robust clinical skills and a compassionate bedside demeanor
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
