Investment Solutions Sales – Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) Sales – Executive Director

Seeking a candidate to join Investment Solutions Sales team to focus on Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) and develop the business with institutional clients with a special focus on Insurance Companies (index-linked annuities market).

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish high-level relationships with Insurance Companies, Asset Managers and Pension Funds in the U.S. to originate and sell BBVA QIS strategies
  • Develop a commercial and marketing action plan for the QIS business in the U.S. including KPIs and growth objectives segmented by client type
  • Start and develop a new line of business by onboarding new clients, coordinating with other departments to develop the product internally and obtaining any necessary internal approvals
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to execute the necessary documentation to trade (ISDAs)
  • Collaborate with global trading and structuring teams on pricing requests on QIS strategies
  • Coordinate post-sales support for clients for QIS trades
  • Support the Structured Product Sales team in the U.S. to expand the QIS business with new or existing private banking clients
  • Coordinate as needed with all internal departments and support teams such as QIS marketing, QIS Research and QIS Structuring teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree (preferred)
  • At least 10+ years of relevant professional work experience
  • Deep experience in QIS / capital markets and thorough knowledge of the U.S. annuities market
  • Motivation to start and develop a business from scratch
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • English (required), Spanish (helpful)
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $200,000 to $300,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
